Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning enables the creation of realistic, forward-looking, constraint-based replenishment and allocation plans across the supply chain and converts these plans into orders, transfers, load builds, and transportation schedules. It combines time-phase replenishment and allocation algorithms to produce an actionable receipt plan based on demand forecasts, replenishment parameters, and inventory availability at the numerous points within the supply chain.

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning is part of Oracle Retail's Supply Chain and Execution solution group.

BENEFITS

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning provides a tactical inventory plan that allows you to optimally forecast consumer demand, source supply, and fulfill demand in a time-phased manner, thus providing the ability to manage the supply chain from interaction with suppliers, through various layers of warehouses, down to individual stores and e-commerce sites.

  • Rapidly incorporate shifts in demand into replenishment plans to reduce stock outs and increase inventory turns.
  • Improve margins and return on investment by minimizing inventory carrying costs by reducing lost sales, markdowns, and store-to-store transfers; maximizing warehouse and distribution labor productivity; and improving supplier collaboration and distribution efficiency.
  • Time-phased design allows Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning to plan store and warehouse orders across user-defined time horizons.
  • Support for a wide range of distribution and inventory management strategies that can be managed down to the SKU/store/day level with six replenishment methods.
  • Working in conjunction with replenishment and allocation modules, you can review supply chain constraints and allocate inventory to stores according to strategic priorities.
  • Customizable alerts based on key supply chain metrics draw attention to problem areas, allowing for proactive management of an increasingly complex supply chain.
