Oracle has partnered with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) to expand professional development programs for math teachers in the United States. Oracle's US$1 million Commitment Grant is designed to advance the quality of math instruction by developing a high quality, standards-based professional development product. By identifying aspects that are most difficult in the teaching of mathematics and promoting the high standards of National Board Certification, Oracle and NBPTS will provide educators with the tools they need to educate and inspire the next generation of engineers, mathematicians, scientists and world leaders.
