Oracle Responds to Hurricane Katrina
On Monday, August 29 Hurricane Katrina brought widespread destruction to the Gulf Coast of the United States—displacing entire cities, destroying infrastructure and potentially killing thousands.
In the aftermath of what may prove to be the greatest natural disaster to hit American shores, Oracle is relieved to report that all employees in the Gulf region are safe and accounted for.
Oracle has reached out to our customers and partners, private and public, to pledge our full and expedited support to any technical assistance related to recovery and relief in the region.
Oracle is also matching contributions, dollar for dollar, made by our U.S. employees to the American Red Cross Hurricanes 2005 Relief Fund. Read the letter from Oracle CEO Larry Ellison (PDF).
