IDC's report, "Analytics and Data Warehousing Software: Market Analysis," determined that Oracle is the leader with 13.2 percent market share and revenues of $2 billion for 2004. Oracle's 15 percent growth rate from 2003 to 2004 exceeded the market growth rate by 2.7 percentage points. The combination of its size and strong year-over-year revenue growth in business analytics give Oracle the lead over any other vendor in the market, according to IDC.
