Oracle today announced market leading independent
software vendors (ISVs) are demonstrating broad, global support for Oracle(r)
Fusion Middleware. Agile, Business Objects, Fidelity, FileNet, Mercury
and RSA Security are some of the leading ISVs that are using or integrating
with the software to provide the foundation of service-oriented architectures
(SOAs) and business solutions that streamline business and IT operations,
improve the accuracy and timeliness of decisions and help drive security
and compliance initiatives.
Increasingly, enterprises are realizing the benefits
that industry standards and SOA bring to their technology infrastructure
and business operations, enabling them to fuse their various business applications
and systems, old and new. Industry-leading solution providers cite Oracle's
rapid market and customer adoption, support for standards, best-in-class
middleware functionality and breadth of middleware products - from application
development and integration to security, deployment and Web service monitoring
- as key factors in adopting Oracle Fusion Middleware products. Oracle's
ability to deliver an open, standards-based technology makes it easier
for partners to work with their customers' existing investments and lay
the foundation for an SOA.
This family of Oracle products presents a significant
opportunity for partners, ISVs and SIs. There are currently 14,000 partners,
7,000 ISVs and SIs supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware. The products will
help ISVs spend less time building integration points between various technologies
and applications and more time building competitive, vertical differentiators.
SIs spend less time integrating systems and more time solving customers'
business problems, developing repeatable solutions that can be leveraged
across their client-base. Customers also benefit significantly as standards-based
offerings can be more easily integrated into an existing IT environment,
minimizing costly integration obstacles and accelerating time-to-value
for new initiatives.
