System Integrators Embrace Oracle® Identity Management
Oracle Delivers Best in Class Identity Management Offering for Global and Regional Service Providers
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.,   13-JUL-2005 06:17 AM    Global and regional system integrators (SIs) are turning to Oracle(r) Identity Management to meet the growing demand for comprehensive identity management solutions that can be used in heterogeneous computing environments. IDC expects the global Identity and Access Management (IAM) market to reach $3.5 billion in 2008. Driven by regulatory compliance and increasing integration requirements, IAM represents substantial business opportunities for SIs. To meet customer demand, Oracle partners such as Allstream, Entology, LogicTrends, Midwave, Nulli Secundus, Otecia and Wipro are building expertise and infrastructure for their identity management practices around Oracle Identity Management. Serving as the security foundation for Oracle Fusion Middleware, SIs can use Oracle Identity Management to safeguard critical information against unauthorized access across disparate applications, directories and platforms.

"Consolidation of the identity management market is resulting in a smaller number of key players," said Chris Christiansen, vice president, Security Products, IDC. "Because identity management is an integral part of regulatory and internal policy compliance, customers and partners alike are carefully considering strategic decisions on solutions that will meet their current and future needs. Oracle Identity Management represents one of these key products."

"We are seeing an increasing number of enterprise level initiatives in the identity management space within our customer base. Oracle Identity Management is key in delivering these initiatives," said K.R. Sanjiv, vice president, e-Enabling, Wipro Technologies. "By combining our world class identity and access management domain expertise and global delivery models with Oracle Identity Management, we are delivering customers a strong offering that meets their requirements of compliance, risk management and competitiveness in a very effective manner."

"Oracle has made significant investments in the identity management space, most notably our acquisition of Oblix earlier this year," said Hasan Rizvi, vice president, Identity Management and Security Products, Server Technologies Division, Oracle. "These investments are already proving fruitful. We are seeing significant demand for the product and are currently working with key partners to help them build practice groups around Oracle Identity Management."

Oracle Identity Management is a complete, heterogeneous and open suite of products that meet organizations' enterprise requirements for Web access, identity administration, user provisioning, federation of identities and Web services integration across disparate operating systems, directories, application servers and applications. The suite of products includes Oracle COREid Access and Identity, Oracle COREid Federation, Oracle COREid Provisioning, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Single Sign-on and Oracle Web Services Manager.
