The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world’s largest user
knowledgebase for Oracle® Applications users, co-hosts the OAUG Connection
Point 2005 event in conjunction with the Quest International Users Group Conference
& Expo 2005 on June 13-16, at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center
in Grapevine, Texas.
The collaborative event offers Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft and JD Edwards
users an opportunity to participate in educational and networking opportunities
within the Oracle community. The event includes pre-conference workshops, product
sessions led by Oracle executives, white paper presentations and training sessions.
The conference begins on Sunday, June 13, with three pre-conference workshops
titled End User Training Workshop: Strategies and Solutions, which
provides examples of end user training strategies and solutions used by Oracle,
PeopleSoft and JD Edwards customers; RFID: From Compliance to ROI,
which discusses the issues facing companies considering RFID and Sarbanes-Oxley
Best Practices in an Oracle Applications Environment, which provides specifics
on the implementation of good internal controls in an Oracle Applications environment.
Throughout the conference more than 160 sessions are offered on topics ranging
from Oracle E-Business Suite, business intelligence, PeopleSoft Applications
to Oracle best practices and corporate measurement. Oracle will provide 27 additional
presentations including Oracle Fusion Platform Updates, Oracle
Collaborative Support, Extending Oracle E-Business Suite Investment
Using Oracle Integration and Driving Customer Satisfaction with Oracle
Service.
John Wookey, senior vice president of Applications Development, Oracle, is
the keynote speaker during the event’s general session on June 13. He
discusses Oracle’s overarching strategy and road map for Applications.
In addition, Cliff Godwin, Oracle’s senior vice president of Applications
Technology, is the featured speaker during the general session on June 14 when
he discusses the business value associated with Oracle Fusion Middleware and
the technological innovations enabled by this applications infrastructure, which
is available today.

Jeffery Hare of Chandler, Arizona-based ERP Seminars leads the Oracle Users
Best Practices Board (OABPB) panel on Wednesday, June 15, where discusses the
role of the OUBPB within the Oracle community. He also reviews the processes
for submitting, reviewing and having access to white papers available through
the OUBPB Web site at www.oubpb.com.
