Oracle Launches 1000 Event Application World Tour
Events to Communicate Plans for Continued Development and the Evolutionary Path to Oracle Fusion Applications
NASHVILLE, Tenn., COLLABORATE ‘06   25-APR-2006 10:35 AM    Oracle President Charles Phillips today launched the start of 1000 Events: Oracle Applications World Tour. At these events held in cities across the globe, Oracle executives and experts will provide an update on the strategy and direction of the current Oracle Applications and discuss "Applications Unlimited," Oracle's plans to provide ongoing enhancements to the current Oracle Applications beyond the delivery of Oracle Fusion Applications in 2008. Additionally, the events will discuss the evolutionary path customers can take to move to Oracle Fusion Applications.

"We continue to reach out to our customers and partners to communicate our plans to protect their current Oracle investments, and today's announcement of 'Applications Unlimited' is further proof of Oracle's efforts to ensure customers derive continual value from their applications," said Oracle President Charles Phillips.

"By hosting 1,000 events through the end of this calendar year, we are creating the opportunity for Oracle to demonstrate how we are delivering business value, innovation, agility and growth opportunities today and into the future," continued Phillips.

Commencing in April, introductory events of Oracle Applications World Tour will be held in cities such as Seoul, Korea, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Stuttgart, Germany. In addition to strategy updates on Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Fusion Applications, the information-packed events will highlight Oracle's proven solutions for key industries, such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, financial services and the public sector. Sessions will offer specialized information on Oracle's various application product lines that support core business processes, such as human capital management, supply chain management, customer relationship management and financial management.

"With this World Tour, we hope to reach out to our application customer base of more than 30,000 to help them understand how we are investing in them by providing the industry's leading architecture, support policies and partner community so that they remain competitive in the global marketplace," said Phillips.
