JD Edwards Partners to Gather at Collaborate '06
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Collaborate 06 User Group Conference   24-APR-2006 05:00 AM    Oracle today commended the JD Edwards partner community for its ongoing commitment to protect, extend and evolve customer investment in Oracle(r) Applications and extended partner solutions. These partners, who have been committed to the JD Edwards applications products through the past few years, continue to invest in integrations with Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and JD Edwards World products. They are also focused on protecting and extending customer investments and will be at the Collaborate User Group Conference to educate and work with JD Edwards customers looking to maximize their IT investments. The partners' participation in this week's event signals continued support for their growing base of customers.

"We're happy to see all the JD Edwards partners [which are] participating at this year's Collaborate show," said Oracle Vice President of Worldwide Alliances and Channels, Doug Kennedy. "These partners are critical members of our Oracle Applications partner ecosystem and help us to reach and serve our JD Edwards customers. The fact that many continue to invest with Oracle and are integrating their solutions with JD Edwards and our other application families, shows their commitment to our joint customers. They're also leveraging the greater opportunities within the broader Oracle economy."

Seamless, Standards-Based Integration for Customers
Many partners have already validated their integrations to JD Edwards products through the validation processes formally in place with JD Edwards. As part of their further efforts to broaden and deepen their relationships with Oracle, many JD Edwards are validating additional integrations through the Oracle Applications Integration Initiative.

The Oracle Application Integration Initiative is available to Certified and Certified Advantage Partners in the Oracle PartnerNetwork and applies a rigorous technical process to validate the integrations of third-party software to Oracle Applications products. The validation ensures that the integration is functionally and technically sound, operates as designed, performs as required, is well-documented and can provide additional value to end customers.

Through this initiative, integrations efforts undertaken by Oracle partners are validated to help ensure appropriate compliance with BPEL, Web Services, XML/EDI and other published and approved application program interfaces (APIs), a process that results in a superior ownership experience for customers throughout the lifecycle - from implementation to upgrades and support. Partners can leverage the Oracle Fusion Middleware suite or other middleware products for the Integration validated through the Application Integration Initiative.

"Customers today are looking for ready-to-use solutions built on a supported, standards-based integration in order to lower their total cost of ownership," said John Adams, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Data Systems International, a Certified Advantage Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork. "The validation offered by Oracle's Application Integration Initiative enabled us to prove that our data capture solution works well with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. With validation, we are able to assure our customers that we conform to Oracle development standards as we extend the reach and value of Oracle Applications to mobile users."

"Integration validation is a huge benefit for our mutual JD Edwards customers who are looking for a compliant, reliable, transaction-based mobile solution that can be implemented quickly and easily," Adams continued. "Our clients want to extend the value of their investment in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. This validation of dcLINK offers EnterpriseOne clients a sound upgrade path to Fusion Middleware and provides the continuity that non-validated data capture solutions lack."

Partners who validate their solutions through the Oracle Applications Integration Initiative gain expert guidance from Oracle for design, development and upgrades around integration procedures, as well as extensive training in integration tools and techniques. Additionally partners taking part in this initiative have access to dedicated integration assistance teams that work with hundreds of product specific integration guides and an array of online and classroom workshops. Partners with validated solutions receive expanded Oracle marketing and sales assistance, as well as authorization to use the "Integrated with Oracle" logo.
