Minute Men Staffing Operates More Efficiently with Oracle’s PeopleSoft Applications
One of the Largest Independently Owned Staffing Providers Standardizes Business Processes on Single Platform
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.   16-OCT-2006 05:00 AM    Oracle today announced that Minute Men Staffing, one of the largest independently-owned staffing companies in the United States, has implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise applications. The implementation establishes a uniform platform to manage temporary staffing services, human resource outsourcing and enable future growth.

Minute Men Staffing has been helping companies of all sizes meet their production challenges for over 35 years. The company offers temporary, long-term, payroll, permanent, onsite and mobile office staffing services in numerous industries including construction, food service/catering, general labor, janitorial/maintenance, packaging, trucking and warehousing. Minute Men Staffing provides employee screening for its clients, and legal, safety and risk management compliance for all employees.

"We were looking for a way to standardize our business processes," said President of Minute Men Staffing Jay Lucarelli. "Utilizing Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise applications enabled us to address our human resource outsourcing and staffing businesses from the same platform. Since completing the implementation, we are turning more of our sales proposals into new business wins - something that wasn't possible before our PeopleSoft deployment."

Minute Men Staffing wanted to establish an Internet-based platform to standardize business process across the company and looked to PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management and Human Capital Management to replace its legacy, homegrown system. Using PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management and Human Capital Management, the company lowered its total cost of ownership by merging multiple systems to create a new platform that combined its outsourcing and staffing operations into a single system. By doing this, the company simplified the management of its systems and maintenance. Implementing PeopleSoft Enterprise applications enabled Minute Men Staffing to leverage industry best practices for financial management and human resource capabilities including time collection, payroll and billing for large numbers of employees. Minute Men Staffing is now also able to go after larger customers by relying on Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise brand, which lends credibility to Minute Men Staffing's technology capabilities. The Web-based architecture allows Minute Men Staffing to do business anywhere in the country at a very low cost. These benefits are critical as Minute Men Staffing launches their human resources outsourcing business.

Minute Men Staffing implemented Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management and PeopleSoft Enterprise Human Capital Management. The company expects to complete a full roll out, predominantly handled by internal resources, to all branches and expand its human resource outsourcing over the next twelve months. The implementation of PeopleSoft Enterprise applications was on time and on budget with assistance from Newbury Consulting Group, an Oracle services partner focused on the staffing industry.
