These Maps illustrate Oracle's extensive application functionality for industry and business processes, and clearly indicate which components are available from Oracle and which are available from select ISV partners. Today, Oracle has released the first three in a series of Industry and Application Solution Maps, starting with the High Technology and Communications industries and Human Capital Management. Over the next year, the company will continue to develop and publish Solution Maps spanning vertical markets from Aerospace and Defense to Utilities and cross-industry solutions including Customer Relationship Management and Supply Chain Management.

Solution Maps Help ISVs Increase Visibility and Achieve Competitive Advantage
ISVs provide customers with options for extending and enhancing the value of their Oracle investments by delivering integrated solutions that complement business functionality within the Oracle Applications family. Those ISVs included in the Solution Maps are required to meet a set of defined criteria. For example, the maps will indicate which ISVs have Oracle validated integration(s). ISV partners with Oracle validated integrations help customers to reduce risk, and accelerate implementation cycles. Partners featured in the Solution Maps benefit from increased visibility among Oracle customers and prospects, as well as a better understanding of where and how their solutions add value to Oracle Applications.

ISV partners included in the Solution Maps will also be linked to the newly improved Oracle Solutions Catalog (see accompanying release). Partners and customers alike will be able to view a Solution Map and, as available, they will then be taken to the partner's Solutions Catalog page that provides a description of the partner solution and contact information. This creates visibility for complementary partner solutions and provides a mechanism for lead generation.

Additional maps will be published to the same location.
