Oracle today announced that Oracle(r) Access Manager, a component of Oracle Identity Management, has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner's 2H06 Web Access Management Magic Quadrant report.i Gartner positions vendors in the quadrants based on their completeness of vision and ability to execute.
In the Web Access Management Magic Quadrant report, Gartner states that Web Access Management (WAM) market growth was robust in 2005 with the marketplace recently exhibiting better-than-expected growth - near 10 percent. According to Gartner, "WAM applies to access control engines that are designed to provide centralized authentication and authorization capabilities for Web-delivered applications."
Oracle Access Manager is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle's comprehensive, standards-based family of middleware products that enables customers to adopt, secure and manage service-oriented architectures in heterogeneous computing environments. The comprehensive Web single sign-on and access control product includes delegation, self-service and workflow functionalities, out-of-the-box support for multi-factor authentication, and allows customers to centrally manage identity administration and access management to portals, extranets and intranets. Additionally, Oracle Access Manager enables self-service and self-registration, reporting and auditing, policy management, dynamic groups and delegated administration.
