Oracle today announced the availability of Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management Release 7.3. The new release includes a comprehensive, real-time systems management console and a performance optimization dashboard that enables service providers to experience unmatched application performance and availability. In addition, this release includes a productized integration with HP OpenView enterprise management software.
Release 7.3 builds on the proven real-time billing and revenue management platform developed by Portal Software and deployed in more than 450 installations worldwide. It enables service providers to radically improve time to market of new services, build stronger brands and lower operational costs, by managing, monetizing and maximizing each revenue stream for any customer type, service offering, partner relationship, payment method, business model or geography.
"Release 7.3 delivers a new level of control, efficiency and insight to our customers," said Bhaskar Gorti, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Oracle Communications Global Business Unit. "Given the rapid pace of change and the complexity of managing convergent services and customer relationships, service providers must be empowered to maximize each revenue opportunity, while driving costs and risk out of their systems. Release 7.3 was engineered with this in mind."
The new release provides superior systems operations management and enhanced business functionality and control to help service providers optimize their systems and manage their customer and partner relationships for profitability.
Superior Systems Operation Management
Release 7.3 includes an operations management console that provides an end-to-end view of the entire billing and revenue management application, allowing customers to easily manage the operations and performance of their Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management application. This streamlines operational processes and helps reduce the ongoing resources and costs necessary to manage the system. The console monitors and optimizes performance and operations to enable service providers to define the most efficient and effective hardware configuration for their application. In addition, users have the ability to identify and fix potential downtime incidents before they impact the business.
Enhanced Business Functionality and Control
Release 7.3 enables service providers to improve assurance and process integrity, further maximizing revenue. Additional configuration and control of revenue assurance checkpoints in both the billing and rating processes better ensure that all revenues generated from services are captured, billed and collected. Enhancements in detecting and controlling fraudulent roaming usage prevents potential revenue losses by identifying abnormally high usage or setting limits on roaming partner accounts. Furthermore, with centralized system access, service providers can more quickly respond and resolve potential revenue leakage. Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management Release 7.3 also offers customers a high-availability, real-time environment in which to install patches and perform system upgrades without affecting overall system availability.
Availability and Pricing
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management Release 7.3 is generally available. Pricing is on a per-subscriber basis unless otherwise agreed upon. Terms, conditions and restrictions apply.
