Oracle (Nasdaq GS: ORCL) partners from across the European
Enlargement & CIS (EE&CIS) region were in Rhodes, Greece today for the
first Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Oracle PartnerNetwork Day of 2007.
The event boasted an expanded programme aimed at giving partners a deeper insight
into Oracle's technology, applications and middleware strategies.
The Rhodes event kicks-off a series of seven Oracle PartnerNetwork Days in
2007, with events to follow in Germany (April), the Netherlands (June), Norway
(September), Italy, the UK and France (October).
"Oracle PartnerNetwork Days provide a forum for our partners to discuss,
directly with us, the issues they face in some of the world's fastest moving
markets," said Stein Surlien, Vice President, Alliances & Channels,
Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa. "Partners want to know how they
can maximise opportunities and take advantage of the Oracle applications, middleware
and technology stack to grow their businesses. To cater for this we've built
more opportunities for one-to-one discussions into this year's Oracle PartnerNetwork
Day agenda."
For the first time the programme included all-day breakout sessions, which
gave EE&CIS partners in Rhodes, access to industry experts and encouraged
the free flow of ideas on subjects such as leveraging joint marketing opportunities
with Oracle.
"Oracle has an extensive portfolio of world-class products which span
applications, customer relationship management, middleware and database technologies
which are in demand from both large enterprises through to smaller organisations,
and in both the public and private sectors," said Alfonso Di Ianni, Senior
Vice President, Oracle European Enlargement & CIS Region. "Our partner
community therefore, can take advantage of the tremendous opportunities Oracle
offers in this region, to provide the best solutions on the market."
Dionysios Michalopoulos, Managing Director Greece, Cyprus & Israel of Fujitsu
Siemens said: "The Oracle PartnerNetwork is globally recognised as one
of the world's leading partner programmes and these events are a testament to
that."
"We find Oracle PartnerNetwork Days extremely worthwhile in that they
are geared up to help partners achieve success and deliver practical best practice
advice on how to use the tools available through the Oracle PartnerNetwork to
improve our business."
