Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ-GS: ORCL) today reported increased
total GAAP revenues of 27 per cent in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA)
to $1.5 billion as organisations in the region continue to select Oracle®
products as the strategic platform for their company-wide IT systems. Oracle EMEA
saw good growth in demand for Oracle Database and Oracle Fusion Middleware and
for Oracle's portfolio of enterprise applications, with continued demand in key
industries such as financial services, public sector, manufacturing, telecommunications,
healthcare and retail.
"This quarter we have seen sustained growth across all products and services
with overall revenues up by 27 per cent, and our double-digit growth outperformed
the market," said Sergio Giacoletto, Executive Vice President, Oracle Europe,
Middle East and Africa. "Increasingly we are seeing customers are replacing
inefficient and costly systems based on our competitors' solutions with comprehensive,
integrated Oracle applications and technology solutions. Oracle is the leader
in many areas such as database, CRM, HRMS, communications, financial services
and retail, and our strategy of choice and lifetime support is winning sales."
Applications
Oracle's portfolio of enterprise applications, which includes the Oracle
E-Business Suite, Oracle's PeopleSoft Enterprise, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne,
JD Edwards World and Siebel solutions, provides enterprise information that
enables companies to manage their business cycles and provide intelligence in
functional areas such as customer relationship management, financials, human
resources, maintenance management, manufacturing, marketing, order fulfilment,
product lifecycle management, procurement, projects, sales, services and supply
chain planning.
WILD of Germany and its affiliated companies are the largest private producer
of natural ingredients for the food and beverage industry with 16 manufacturing
facilities around the world. WILD made a strategic decision to replace its existing
mySAP systems with a comprehensive suite of Oracle applications covering process
manufacturing, supply chain management, financials, customer relationship management,

Arjo Wiggins has selected JD Edwards Supply Chain Suite and JDE Financials Management
for its manufacturing processes, and Siebel CRM Suite and Siebel CRM On Demand
to improve sales and marketing processes and give its agents accurate visibility
in terms of pipeline and specific analysis.
Grupo 3A Recoletas of Spain, within the healthcare sector, has selected JD
Edwards Financials, JDEdwards Sales Order Processing, JD Edwards Purchasing,
PeopleSoft HR and Recruitment and PeopleSoft Payroll to automate their processes

In EMEA, sales of Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle Content Management
have made significant contributions to revenues this quarter. Additionally,
partners appreciate the range of Oracle databases on which to base their solutions.
Alfred McAlpine Business Services plc in the UK is a leading support services
business for the built environment, employing over 8,500 employees. AMBS have
selected Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Database 10g, and Oracle Fusion Middleware
and Oracle BPEL Process Manager. AMBS view Oracle Fusion Middleware as allowing
them to rapidly expose processes as services enabling them to quickly and efficiently
integrate with partners and new acquisitions. "We see Oracle Fusion Middleware
and BPEL as a key component of our IT strategy moving forward," said Stuart
Davidson, IT Director, AMBS.
NLB Tuzlanska Banka dd Tuzla of Bosnia-Herzegovina, a member of NLB Group within
financial services, has selected Oracle Database 10g RAC, Oracle Enterprise
