Oracle today announced that Oracle(r) Support has been honored with the "Services Industry Leadership" award by the Service and Support Professionals Association (SSPA). Oracle is the first recipient of this award and is being recognized for outstanding contributions to driving thought leadership and innovation in the technology services industry and helping to set the standards for delivering world-class customer support.
"Oracle is committed to delivering world class customer support," said Stephen Smith, Executive Director of the SSPA. "Their long-standing focus and dedication to customer success is evidenced both in their world class support offerings as well as their significant contributions to the technical support industry to help drive it forward. It is the latter that we are recognizing them for with the first ever SSPA Services Industry Leadership award."
The SSPA Services Industry Leadership award acknowledges Oracle's sustained commitment and contributions to the technology services industry, including an active leadership role in defining the industry standards for service excellence - a set of detailed criteria against which the SSPA assesses technical support organizations seeking independent validation and recognition of their technical support capabilities. Oracle is also being recognized for several years of service on the SSPA Advisory Board that helps set the vision and strategy for the technical services industry.
Oracle has a long-standing history of leadership in customer support in the technology industry, pioneering many significant developments in proactive support and and global service delivery. This vision and early commitment to driving service innovation through support of the Service Research and Innovation Initiative, has led Oracle Support to be honored by industry peers with the greatest number of SSPA STAR Awards for service excellence and best practices, including best Value-Added SupportTM, most innovative support, best knowledge management, and best WebStar service.
