Industry Leaders Demonstrate Support for Oracle(r) Universal Records Management 10g Release 3
Oracle and Partners Respond to Customer Demand for Better Records Management Technology and Processes
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.,   08-OCT-2007 07:31 AM    In conjunction with its announcement of the general availability of Oracle Universal Records Management 10g Release 3, a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle today announced broad industry support for the latest version of its records management software through agreements with leading independent software vendors (ISVs), systems integrators (SIs) and records management consultants. Together with members of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, Oracle will help facilitate deployments of Oracle Universal Records Management 10g Release 3, help organizations implement best practices in records management policy and process, and deliver the industry's most comprehensive and hot-pluggable records management solutions.

Autonomy ZANTAZ, Iron Mountain, Jordan Lawrence, Mimosa Systems, Symantec, and Wipro Technologies are among the companies working with Oracle to help enterprises maximize the value of their records management investments. In response to demand for broader and deeper records management technology and expertise, these companies will help customers maintain regulatory compliance, reduce the cost of records management, and mitigate the risk associated with the legal discovery process. Additionally, they will help customers simplify the management of ever-increasing volumes of content in the midst of evolving government and industry regulations regarding record and document retention and disposition.

"There are several drivers for implementing a records management strategy," said Frank Radichel, vice president, Software Development, Oracle. "Whether the goal is to minimize storage requirements or to comply with government or industry mandates, the need for comprehensive records management is greater than ever. By leveraging our partner ecosystem, we are helping customers streamline their records management implementations, federate records management across multiple content repositories, and providing access to a broad range of records management resources."

Autonomy ZANTAZ
"Autonomy ZANTAZ welcomes the opportunity to team with Oracle on this initiative, as we recognize that records management is top of mind for many of our customers worldwide - particularly the Global 2000. Our combined strategy, which enables centralized records management to be applied across all unstructured content in the enterprise, including the ZANTAZ consolidated archive, without having to relocate or disrupt the information in any way, greatly streamlines operations and helps decrease the costs and risk associated with discovery and storage." --Steve King, CEO, Autonomy ZANTAZ

Iron Mountain
"Customers seek to have a consolidated view and control of their digital and paper-based records. Iron Mountain's planned integration between its Accutrac records management software and Oracle Universal Records Management is an important step toward this goal." --John Wallace, vice president and general manager for Iron Mountain's Accutrac Solutions

Jordan Lawrence
"Jordan Lawrence and Oracle's relationship, and the integration of Enforcement Solutions with Oracle Universal Records Management, allows corporate counsel and IT to minimize the risk and costs of e-discovery and helps ensure regulatory compliance. Oracle Universal Records Management has clear advantages over most other records management solutions. It is scalable and has the ability to effectively manage the retention and disposition of official records as well as general enterprise content across heterogeneous repositories and applications. Most importantly, it's simple so business people will use it." --Marty Provin, executive vice president, Jordan Lawrence

Working with Oracle enables us to help customers more effectively and efficiently leverage Oracle Universal Records Management in conjunction with Mimosa NearPoint to reduce the cost and complexity of implementing a federated, in-place records management solution that includes email retention management and eDiscovery capabilities." --T.M. Ravi, president and chief executive officer, Mimosa Systems
