Spatial Eye Enhances Application Performance with Oracle(r) Data Provider for .NET
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.   18-APR-2008 01:30 PM
  • Oracle today announced that Spatial Eye is taking advantage of Oracle's newest .NET development tools for Oracle(r) Database.
  • Spatial Eye (http://www.spatial-eye.com) of Culemborg, The Netherlands offers spatial products and services built on top of Oracle Spatial that enable enterprises to extend their existing IT infrastructure with spatial applications and make them location aware.
  • The Independent Software Vendor uses Oracle Data Provider for .NET to align its flagship product, Spatial Workshop, with Oracle Database 11g and exploit Oracle's user-defined type support to support their geo-spatial applications. Spatial Workshop users can integrate their enterprise data and spatial information within Oracle Database 11g with data from sources such as spreadsheets, documents, maps, and satellite images, among others.
  • Spatial Eye, a partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork, also replaced its own custom built adapter with Oracle Data Provider for .NET.
  • The latest releases of Oracle Data Provider for .NET, Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio and Oracle Providers for ASP.NET support Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and deliver new features that greatly simplify Microsoft .NET application development using Oracle Database.
  • Additionally these releases feature new integration with Visual Studio 2008, enhanced ASP.NET web development features, and User Defined Types (UDT) support, as well as improvements in automatic code generation, performance, ease of deployment, high availability and security.
  • Customers and partners rely on the products to enable their .NET applications to tap into the unique performance, scalability, availability, and management capabilities of Oracle Database.
