Oracle today announces that Kodak's Graphic Communications
Group (GCG), a unit of Eastman Kodak Company, the world's foremost imaging innovator,
has selected Oracle's Siebel CRM On Demand for its sales operations across the
EMEA region. Already live in the US and Canada, Kodak's GCG plans to standardise
its EMEA sales force on Siebel CRM On Demand to help drive sales, improve customer
service and ensure consistency across its geographically dispersed sales teams.
The GCG EMEA sales force, responsible for targeting its broad portfolio of
technologies, products and services to the graphic communications market, expects
to have Siebel CRM On Demand fully implemented by 1st May 2008. The move will
provide all sales staff with a highly responsive, fully integrated client view
across all sales channels and existing customer relationships.
"Once Siebel CRM On Demand is fully operational across our EMEA sales
teams, we look forward to having a more proactive and collaborative approach
to our sales activities," explains Ingmar Hermans, Sales Operations Director,
Kodak's Graphic Communications Group. "From an analytical perspective,
Siebel CRM On Demand will provide us with the reporting functionality we need.
From ad-hoc pipeline reports through to revenue assumptions based on product,
regions or members of staff, Siebel CRM On Demand will help us gain a real-time
view of existing and future sales opportunities."
Prior to working with Oracle, Kodak's GCG sales force relied heavily on Excel
spreadsheets for pipeline and opportunity management. For contacts management,
Kodak sales representatives each used their own system, including emails, spreadsheets
and PDAs. In future, all interactions with existing and prospective customers
will be managed centrally and available across the EMEA sales teams.
"Siebel CRM On Demand will act as the backbone for all of Kodak's GCG
European sales operations," explains Loïc le Guisquet, Senior Vice
President for Applications, Oracle EMEA. "With such a geographically dispersed
workforce, the GCG can expect a more cohesive and proactive approach to its
relationships with current and prospective customers. Siebel CRM On Demand is
designed to work in demanding environments such as this, and we look forward
to working closely with the GCG over the forthcoming years to ensure our technology
is helping them to achieve sales objectives."
After a lengthy evaluation, Kodak's GCG chose Siebel CRM On Demand based on
three factors. Firstly, the advanced functionality and rich feature-set of Siebel
CRM On Demand, followed by the cost effectiveness of the solution and its ease
of integration and management.
