Masaaki Shintaku is president and CEO of Oracle Corporation
Japan. He is responsible for corporate management of Oracle
Japan, and is taking leadership in all business of the company
including sales and services of Oracle products in Japan.
Mr. Shintaku joined Oracle Japan in December 1991 as sales
manager for the financial industry. He has held positions
such as director of sales and marketing, managing director
and general manager before becoming representative director
and president of Oracle Japan in August 2000. In January
2001, he became CEO of Oracle Japan and senior vice president
of worldwide Oracle Corporation.
Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Shintaku joined IBM
Japan Ltd. in 1978 as a new graduate where he gained his expertise
in financial industry and product solutions.
Mr. Shintaku graduated with honors from Waseda
University in Tokyo, Japan and earned a bachelor's degree in politics
and economics.
