Welcome to the premiere issue of the Celebrity Seminars Newsletter. You may have heard over the past few years about our successful Seminars program, whereby we invite experts in their field to present on their specific area.
This monthly newsletter is produced with the aim of keeping you informed and up-to-date regarding our events scheduled across EMEA. You will also have the opportunity to get to know our speakers as well as get opinions and advice directly from the experts.

Oracle Database 11g certification

Oracle 11g DBA OCP - one exam available in beta:
 Exams Oracle Database 11g: Administration II (1Z0-053) is a required exam for the   
 Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional certification track. The exam 
 will be available in beta until September 30, 2008.

What are the advantages of Beta Exams?

Oracle Certification Beta Exams
Beta exams are pre-production exams used by Oracle to evaluate new exam questions with the participation of a live audience. Beta exam questions go through a rigorous development and evaluation process before being released to the public. Data gathered during beta testing are used to select the best questions for the production exam, and to eliminate questions that are ambiguous, too easy or too difficult, or unhelpful in evaluating a participant's knowledge. 

Beta exams are not only a great way for you to get an excellent price on a certification exam, they allow you to (a) directly provide input to the outcome of the final live exam and (b) be among the very first to be certified! Currently, Oracle has several certification tracks with exams available in beta.

Beta exams are offered at a deeply discounted price; candidates usually have 3 to 3.5 hours to complete the exam, and may see 175 - 220 questions.
