Murali Vallath


With more than 22 years of IT experience including over 16 years using Oracle products, Murali Vallaths’ work spans multiple industries.

Vallath is an Oracle ACE and an Oracle Certified Database Administrator. He has worked on a variety of database platforms for small to very large implementations, designing databases for high volume, machine critical, real time OLTP systems.  His expertise is with Oracle Real Application Clusters and Vallath released his second book titled Oracle 10g RAC, Grid, Services & Clustering in March 2006 and has co-authored his third book titled ‘Oracle Automatic Storage Management’ (ASM) November 2007, from Oracle Press.

He is the Founder President of All India Oracle Users Group (www.aioug.org). Vallath has held the several voluntary positions: a) Founder and President of the Oracle RAC Special Interest Group (www.oracleracsig.org) 2003 - 2008, b) President of Charlotte Oracle Users Group (www.cltoug.org) 1998-2004 c) Contributing editor to the IOUG SELECT Journal 2006-2008.  He has been an active participant in the Oracle Database Beta programs.
Vallath is a regular speaker at industry conferences, including the Oracle Open World, UKOUG, AUSOUG, and IOUG on Oracle RAC and Oracle RDBMS Performance & Tuning related topics.
