Training Philosophy: I try to understand the student’s point of view in the classroom.
Student Reviews
"Toshi provides detailed, careful, and clear explanations. I was able to follow all discussions and take notes very comfortably. His examples were always concrete and to the point. He even answered one of my seemingly trivial questions very kindly!"
Training Philosophy: Continuous learning is the key to realizing your full potential, placing you one step ahead of the competition and enabling the long-term success of your organization.
Student Reviews
"Laura is both country manager and delivery manager. Her instructors have high utilization and deliver with a very high quality score. Results oriented and with a positive and optimistic attitude toward work, she provides a productive and motivating climate for the team, getting the best out of each member, giving them consistent advice, and offering support so that they can develop to their full potential."
Training Philosophy: My philosophy is to emphasize conceptual understanding (the “How Stuff Works” philosophy).
Student Reviews
"Kalyana has excellent knowledge and presentation skills. His command of multiple areas of Siebel technology is an asset and helps him in answering questions fully and clearly. I can say that Kalyana is a real “guru”—I definitely want to attend his classes in the future."
"Laszlo never gets tired of answering questions addressed to him from internal Oracle staff or customers. All he wants to do is spread Oracle culture."
Training Philosophy: My training goal is to make everyone happy! It seems so simple but is actually very hard to achieve. I use two basic methods: asking tons of questions and encouraging students to share their experiences with the class. I believe this is the best way to reinforce the material and to understand what our customers really want to learn.
Student Reviews
"Sean made the class very interactive and interesting, enabling us to follow and understand the topics. He is an excellent instructor, and we received a lot of extra information to help on our jobs. Sean did a great job, and I am more interested now in implementing Oracle Database 10g Release 2. This class has provided me with some great troubleshooting tools."
Training Philosophy: Always strive for clarity, thoroughness and accuracy. There is always more to learn about content and delivery. Continually look for new examples and metaphors to communicate effectively to a diverse audience. Realize that what you say is not always what students hear. Stay humble. Listen to the feedback. Make no assumptions. Be adaptable.
Student Reviews
"Michael is an excellent instructor. In fact, if picking classes by instructor were an option, I’d lean toward picking classes that he teaches. He’s very clear and thorough and keeps the class moving at a great pace. This is the fourth course I’ve had with Michael. The first was in 1998. He was good then, and he’s even better now."
Training Philosophy: In addition to delivering training I do a lot of work for Expert Services (tuning, upgrade, audit, and so on). So I always try to use these experiences as real-life scenarios in the classroom to enhance the training experience.
Student Reviews
"Pierre has an excellent knowledge of his subject backed up with real-world examples. He knows how to include his consulting experience with his training, and his illustrations and references enrich his teaching. Pierre is by far the most competent instructor I know."
Training Philosophy: I love watching the lights go on in my students’ eyes when they’ve mastered a difficult concept. That’s why I get so much satisfaction from being an Oracle University instructor.
Student Reviews
"Terry is a great instructor who provided wonderful explanations and extremely clear definition of concepts. He is very likely the best instructor I have ever had in computer training courses like this. He understood the material so well that he nearly always anticipated the questions that we had. It was very worthwhile being in Terry’s classroom."
Training Philosophy: I try to provide students with logical and clear explanations in the classroom.
Student Reviews
"Miyuki’s explanations were really clear, and she answered all my questions thoroughly and politely. I could understand the main points in the course completely."
Training Philosophy: I use the “B-E-S-T” rule in all the events I teach: Believe in the product, Expertise in the field, Set up the class, Transmit the knowledge.
Student Reviews
"An awesome instructor who was in touch with the class and the needs of the class. I’d take another course with Essi any time! He is an excellent teacher and does not assume everyone knows everything. He provides a relaxed learning environment, which I really liked. Humorous, wise, and a great person to talk to, Essi made my learning experience a pleasure."
Training Philosophy: A lot of the time the student training experience comes down to rapport. Relate to your students as real people and understand the learning experience that you are providing from their point of view. The main role of the instructor is to facilitate a positive learning experience.
Student Reviews
"Tracey is one of the best instructors I’ve studied with. She has a balanced approached and a very interactive course plan—and she’s extremely knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm and willingness to help made this course an interesting, informative, and enjoyable experience. I was greatly impressed with Tracey and her ability to keep up the dynamics of the course despite its length and amount of information."
Training Philosophy: I like to believe that we all have Attention Deficit Disorder to some degree. As a result, I find that keeping people listening is often more challenging than conveying the topic itself. So I feel that every class is a new audience and I am a performer. At the end of the week, I am not looking for box office or applause; I instead want to know what I did that made a difference. I feel that is not always reflected in evaluations or surveys but in the faces of those whom you teach. I am happy to be doing a job in which I can take pleasure in knowing that I am making a difference.
Student Reviews
"Clint was extremely knowledgeable about the 10g New Features topics. He was very entertaining, experienced, and insightful. His real-world examples were very helpful and enabled me to learn how to use various Oracle technologies to do my job. Also, his architectural overview was one of the best I’ve seen and answered questions about the product that I’ve had for years. Clint is a great instructor who makes the material fun and easy to follow."
Training Philosophy: I always prepare well before starting to teach. I work out three times a week to stay in good condition. I always try to create a team—not just a class of individual students. I keep stress away from the classroom and try to bring in some humor.
Student Reviews
"I found the whole training experience with Hans very enjoyable. He is an excellent, enthusiastic instructor who created a perfect course! His teaching is lively and practical, and he himself is very clear, patient, and kind."
