| On March 27, 2008, Oracle announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire the e-TEST suite Web application testing products from Empirix, a provider of Voice and Web application testing and monitoring solutions.
The acquisition of e-TEST suite is expected to strengthen Oracle Enterprise Manager with application load and functional testing technology, and enable Oracle to provide comprehensive application management life cycle solutions.
The transaction is subject to certain closing conditions. Until the transaction closes, Empirixs Web application testing business continues to be part of Empirix, and it will be business as usual.
Application testing is becoming increasingly important as customers seek to deploy applications faster, at lower cost and with higher quality of service.
Customers are looking for automated application testing solutions that help prevent costly application performance problems, avoid unplanned outages of business-critical applications, and automate the manual
steps involved in application testing.
The Empirix e-TEST suite products address this need by helping validate the functionality and scalability of applications, enabling customers to rapidly deliver
higher quality applications at reduced cost. After the transaction closes, e-TEST suite is expected to become a core component of Oracle Enterprise Manager — Oracles solution for applications and systems management.
The combination of e-TEST suite and Oracle Enterprise Manager is expected to create a best-of-breed systems management portfolio spanning the entire application life cycle,
from development and testing to production deployment and application performance management.
We are enthusiastic about this acquisition and how it will help customers address their Web application testing requirements. To learn more about the proposed acquisition

We appreciate your continued support.
Sincerely,
Leng Leng Tan
