Stephen Chin is a Java evangelist at Oracle specializing in UI technology, and is co-author of Pro JavaFX Platform 2, which is the leading technical reference for JavaFX. He has been featured at Java conferences around the world including Devoxx, CodeMash, OSCON, J-Fall, GeeCON, Jazoon, and JavaOne, where he twice received a Java Rock Star award. In his evenings and on weekends, Chin is an open-source hacker, working on projects including ScalaFX, a DSL for JavaFX in the Scala language; Visage, a UI-oriented JVM language; JFXtras, a JavaFX component and extension library; and Apropos, an Agile Project Portfolio scheduling tool written in JavaFX. Tim Ellison is a Senior Technical Staff Member in IBM's Java Technology Centre with responsibility for Class Libraries and Open Source Engineering.
He has contributed to the commercial implementation of Smalltalk, IBM VisualAge Micro Edition, Eclipse, Apache Harmony, and the Java SDK spanning a period of over twenty years. He has a broad knowledge of high performance runtimes, open source methodologies, and development environments and he presents regularly on these topics at technical conferences worldwide.
Henrik Engström has, after graduating with a M.Sc degree in Computer Science in 1998 at the Royal Institute of Technology, been working as a consultant up until his Typesafe employment in 2011. Henrik has not only vast experience from various types of programming but also great domain knowledge within the finance, retail and e-gaming industries. At Typesafe he has previously worked in the Akka team and is currently the tech lead for the Typesafe Console - a monitoring tool with which it is possible to get runtime information of your Akka and Play applications.
Bert is a Fellow at Luminis in the Netherlands. Next to his customer assignments he is responsible for stimulating innovation, knowledge sharing, coaching, technology choices and presales activities. Besides his day job he is a Java User Group leader for NLJUG, the Dutch Java User Group (3500+ members). A frequent speaker on Java (SE/EE) and Software Architecture related topics as well as an author and member of the editorial advisory board for Dutch software development magazine: Java Magazine. In 2008, Bert was honored by being awarded the coveted title of Java Champion by an international panel of Java leaders and luminaries. Bert is a JavaOne 2012 Rock Star Speaker.

San Hong Li has been working on Java since 2005, where he began at Intel Asia-Pacific R&D Lab implementing JSR135. He joined IBM in 2008 to improve runtime security on Expeditor(a OSGi-based and Eclipse-based platform). He progressed to working on the development of IBM's Java Virtual Machine in 2010, where he led a project to develop multi-tenancy technology for the JVM.
