Oracle On Demand ranks #9 in the Outsourcing Green 50

Oracle was recently ranked the number one IT outsourcing vendor that "encourages the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies" by the 2007 Black Book of Outsourcing Green 50 report. The Black Book of Outsourcing Green 50 is an annual survey of 20,000 global users who recommended Oracle On Demand and other IT outsourcing vendors for demonstrating the highest green credentials.
"Beyond labor savings and operational re-engineering, outsourcing clients now seek top-line and bottom-line contributions from their suppliers. There's still a very short list of outsourcing firms who are making the grade as good stewards of the planet with significant implemented ecological commitments and dedication to environmental responsibility," said Scott Wilson, co-author, The Black Book of Outsourcing.
Oracle On Demand, who ranked number 9 overall in the Green 50, helps customers streamline business processes by providing hosting and application management services so customers accelerate business results, lower risks and reduce costs. Oracle On Demand uses advanced technologies that make efficient use of resources to drive down power consumption and space requirements on behalf of customers. By leveraging Oracle best practices, automation, and global software operations centers, customers can become more Green, reduce costs and enable faster business transformation.
