Dear Partner:
Today, Oracle and Global Logistics Technologies, Inc. ("G-Log") announced they have entered into a definitive agreement whereby Oracle will acquire G-Log. We would like to take this opportunity to pledge our continued commitment to the success of your business and outline the benefits this transaction will deliver, once completed.
G-Log is a leading provider of logistics and transportation management software. G-Log was founded in 1999 with a vision to deliver a single platform to plan, optimize, execute, analyze, and react to every aspect of how goods flow through a supply chain. G-Log's flagship GC3 (Global Command and Control Center) product is a best-in-class solution for complex logistics networks with multiple tiers, business units, geographies, modes, logistics service providers and large transaction volumes. G-Log's customer base includes industry-leading shippers and logistics service providers. G-Log is headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania and has assembled one of the largest teams focused on applications for the logistics and transportation segment.
With this proposed acquisition of G-Log, Oracle plans to offer customers a compelling, comprehensive offering for supply chain and logistics management. Oracle and G-Log have complementary products with a shared focus that information and adaptive business processes are key to achieving corporate supply chain goals. We are also committed to supporting our respective customers, which include many of the most successful companies in the world. With G-Log's proven transportation planning and execution solutions, and Oracle's leading technology infrastructure and existing ERP and supply chain applications, we plan to provide a seamless solution for the lean enterprise.
We anticipate that the proposed combination will provide many key benefits to our partners and customers:
- Partners and customers will have access to proven best-in-class transportation and logistics capabilities combined with comprehensive, world-class capabilities in ERP applications and technology infrastructure – all from the same vendor. This is expected to significantly reduce total cost of ownership while increasing customers' ability to operate an integrated, information driven enterprise.
- By combining the talents of both organizations, we will be better able to address evolving partner and customer needs and effectively respond to industry trends that are driving the demand for complex logistics solutions.
- Customer investments in Oracle transportation planning and execution products will be fully supported and protected. We plan to offer such customers access to G-Log's comprehensive capabilities and a compelling end-to-end solution footprint.
- Our integrated solutions for logistics and transportation will address customers' critical logistics requirements more comprehensively and will facilitate transformation of customers' logistics operations to leading-edge infrastructure that improves competitive advantage.
We are excited about this acquisition and how it will accelerate innovation in supply chain management and logistics. Oracle representatives will be reaching out to you to answer any questions that you may have. More information about the transaction can be found at www.oracle.com/g-log.
