Oracle Hands on Workshop at AUSOUG 20:20 Foresight
Many organisations have heterogeneous application and database environments. To minimise required skills, save on support/license costs and simplify overall system architectures, there is often a desire to consolidate these environments. The major obstacles, however, are the risks and cost of performing a migration from one environment to another.
Oracle offers free tools and best practices on how to migrate 3rd-party databases and their related applications to the Oracle Technology Platform.
Join this hands-on workshop and:
- Learn how to use Oracle’s free tools to migrate 3rd-party databases to Oracle Database 11g Install Oracle Database 11g and SQL Developer 1.5 on your own laptop
- Migrate a sample Microsoft Access Database to Oracle Database 11g and Oracle Application Express
- Understand migration best practices and where to get the tools, information and assistance for your migration projects.
Workshop is FREE and only 30 seats are available. Please bring a laptop with at least 1GB of RAM, running Windows (XP preferable), and about 10-15 GB of free disk space. Register now!
