Oracle Reports Strong Customer Momentum and Growth in Asia Pacific

Applications new license revenues in Asia Pacific & Japan up 89%; Database and Middleware new license revenues in Asia Pacific & Japan up 26%, in Q3FY07

Hong Kong, April 2, 2007 - Oracle today announced strong customer traction across its database, middleware and applications businesses in the Asia Pacific region during the third quarter of its fiscal year 2007.

Chairman and Executive Vice President for Oracle Asia Pacific & Japan, Derek Williams, said, "Customers are endorsing our strategy and solutions -- open, flexible and standards-based software that drives business agility, insights and ultimately, growth and shareholder value."

Significant Momentum from New and Existing Oracle Applications Customers

Oracle Shows Strong Growth in its Middleware Business
Customers are choosing Oracle Fusion Middleware's "hot-pluggable" architecture to leverage their investments in any existing application, system, or technology. Oracle Fusion Middleware is a portfolio of standards-based software products that spans a range of tools and services from J2EE and developer tools, to integration services, business intelligence, identity management, collaboration, and content management.

International long-term savings company Australian Skandia Limited says it purchased Oracle Fusion Middleware to quickly deploy its portal on a flexible, robust middleware platform. "Skandia required a new Portal Platform for its customers that would also enable them to have a faster go-to-market model," said Scott Anderson, Strategy Manager for Business & Technology, Australian Skandia Limited. "Oracle's Fusion Middleware Platform was chosen over other platforms in the market after a detailed business and technical comparison of each vendors offering against Skandia's needs."
