Oracle Is Fastest Growing of Top Five Supply Chain Management Solution Providers In Asia Pacific in 2006

According to Leading Analyst Firm, Oracle's Asia Pacific SCM Revenues Grew 80% in 2006

Hong Kong , October 25, 2007 - Oracle announced that it is the fastest growing among the top five vendors for Total Supply Chain Management (SCM) software revenue in Asia Pacific, according to leading analyst firm Gartner1. Oracle Supply Chain Management revenue grew by a significant 80% year-over-year between 2005 and 2006 – this was more than four times faster than its nearest competitors.

These results were in the "Dataquest Insight: SCM Software Market Review, 2006" report - Gartner's annual market share study of the SCM market. According to the report, the Asia Pacific SCM market grew by 11.6% in 2006, reaching US$301.1 million in license and maintenance revenue.

"Organizations of all sizes across Asia Pacific are looking to implement Supply Chain Management solutions to drive competitiveness and profitable growth given today's volatile business environment," said Jasbir Singh, senior director, Supply Chain Management Applications, Oracle Asia Pacific.  "Their focus has shifted significantly beyond implementing ERP for administrative improvements to strategic SCM solutions that power information-driven value chains. Strategic SCM applications offer companies new capabilities to gain visibility into and effectively harness the enormous amount of data across their entire supply chain network. This is fundamental to their ability to make better decisions by identifying potential risks and opportunities in real-time, drive more predictable results, adapt quickly to change, and align planning and execution networks to their business goals."

With Oracle Supply Chain Management, companies are able to integrate and automate critical processes from supply chain planning to execution, manufacturing and collaboration with external parties via the supplier relationship management components. Oracle Supply Chain Management also enables organizations to manage their asset lifecycle, product lifecycle and centralize product information management. Organizations can achieve a real-time view of the entire supply chain for more informed business decisions with Oracle's unified data model. Together, these solutions enable companies to optimize supply and distribution networks, mitigate risk, maximize shop floor throughput and dramatically reduce supply chain costs.

The industry is increasingly recognizing Oracle's strengths as a leading provider in supply chain management and logistics applications. During the last 12 months, Oracle has received three independent industry awards for its supply chain management and logistics applications leadership. These include: ‘Best Supply Chain Software Solution Provider' at the Supply Chain Excellence Awards organized by SCMLogistics World 2006; ‘Logistics Solutions Provider of the Year' from China Logistics Summit & Awards; and, ‘2006-2007 Logistics Brand of the Year' from 2006 China Logistics Innovation Conference & Award Ceremony.
