Oracle Fusion Middleware: Leader in Middleware in Hong Kong
Overtakes Closest Competitor with
Triple-Digit Revenue Growth and Market Share Gains
Hong Kong , November 6, 2007 - Oracle today announced that it was ranked by Gartner as the fastest growing middleware vendor among the top three portal, process and middleware (PPMW) vendors in Hong Kong in 2006. In its recent study, "Market Share: Portal, Process and Middleware Software, Asia/Pacific and Japan, 2004-2006," Gartner reports that Oracle's PPMW software posted 245.1% revenue growth in Hong Kong in 2006 and more than doubled its market share while its two closest competitors lost share.(1)
In Asia Pacific, Oracle is the fastest growing PPMW vendor among the top three portal, process and middleware vendors in 2006, according to Gartner. With a worldwide growth rate of 45%, Gartner positioned Oracle as the fastest growing PPMW vendor, among the top five providers, in its Portal, Process and Middleware Software Market Share, Worldwide for 2006 report. Gartner's definition of the PPMW market segment includes general-purpose portal products, Business Process Management-enabling technologies, application integration and platform middleware.

During Oracle's most recent fiscal year, Oracle enhanced a number of components of Oracle Fusion Middleware including Oracle Enterprise Content Management and Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition through internal development and strategic acquisitions. Leading independent research firms have recognized Oracle Fusion Middleware, and its components, for market momentum and presence, features and functionality, and customer successes. Specifically, in its "Forrester Wave: Application Server Platforms, Q3 2007" report(i), Forrester Research recognized Oracle as a Leader across the board in its evaluation of application server platforms. In the July 2007 report, Forrester's Vice President John R.
