Vivek Marla Vice President and Head, Oracle Solution Services India Ltd

Vivek Marla is a Vice President with Oracle and heads Oracle Solution Services India (Oracle SSI).

As Head of Oracle SSI, Vivek leads one of Oracle’s prominent offshore consulting organizations. He leads a team of consultants specialized in global consulting delivery in a remote mode. His team delivers rapid, high quality and cost effective solutions in all Oracle Technologies, Oracle Applications, including Oracle E–Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JDEdwards, Siebel, Retail and G–Log (OTM) Applications, to customers worldwide. Vivek is also responsible for a near–shore center located in Europe. Vivek reports to the European division of Oracle.

Prior to this role, Vivek was heading Corporate Sales at Oracle India Private Limited as Senior Director – Sales, where he led a team responsible for the sales of all Oracle products and solutions for the corporate sector in India focusing on industries such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, and Telecom.

Vivek was earlier heading the E–Business group and before that, was heading the Consulting group for Oracle India.

Vivek has been with Oracle Corporation for over 16 years, of which 6 years were in Oracle US, where he was heading the Manufacturing Consulting practice in Los Angeles. Later he moved to Oracle Korea where he set up a new Consulting practice. He also briefly worked at Oracle Thailand, where he initiated the Automotive Consulting practice for Asia Pacific, before moving to Oracle India.

Prior to his career at Oracle, Vivek worked with Northrop Corporation, Baxter Corporation and Summation Data.

Vivek is a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Surathkal – India, Master in Industrial Engineering from University of Minnesota, US and an MBA from the University of Southern California (USC), US.
