National Bank of Dubai announced today that it has selected Oracle as its technology
partner for a sizeable e-business project. In addition to upgrading
its current Oracle Financials implementation to the latest Internet-enabled
release of the Oracle E-Business Suite11i, the financial services
leader will roll out Oracle's Human Resources Management System, including
payroll and self-service functionalities, for its more than 1100 bank
employees. |

Oracle Middle East, announced that the Gulf
Insurance Company (GIC), a leading insurance provider in the Arabian
Gulf has migrated from the Informix database to the Oracle Database.
With insurance offerings ranging from life and medical, to property,
auto and marine, Gulf Insurance Company required highly scalable and
secure Internet-based software when it decided to update its legacy-based
applications into a corporate intranet. By migrating to the Oracle
Database, Gulf Insurance Company customers will have the opportunity
to access their insurance records and services via the Internet and
through wireless (WAP) technology using their mobile phones. |

Government Resource Planning (GRP) Implementation. The project represents
a key component of the eGovernment Initiative announced18 months ago
by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince
of Dubai and the UAE's Defense Minister. |

has ''gone live'' with a comprehensive implementation of the Oracle
