We have specific flows for Capital Markets, concentrating
on the new Best Execution provisions and the need
to access external data to inform the execution
venue selection. In particular, our link into
the Omgeo ALERT service is fully accredited by
Omgeo so that the information on the counterparty,
custodian and therefore settlement method and
location can be accessed from the BPEL flow directy.
Settlement information can therefore be integrated
into your current systems through a flexible process.
MiFID Solution Overview
The Best Execution provision states that several
factors including settlement costs, have to be
taken into account when selecting an execution
venue. In many instances, this requires access
to external data sources and revised processes
for collecting and interpreting the data from
those sources. Our solution automates the collection
of data from the Omgeo ALERT database so that
it can be brought into the decision flow. This
process is implemented in BPEL so that the data
in your existing systems can be easily accessed
and updated and the process can be changed as
the regulation matures. In many organisations,
settlement instructions are re-keyed from an ALERT
workstation into the back office. Our solution
allows this manual link to be automated so reducing
costs and operational risk. Whether for MiFID
compliance or general use, we can provide a very
cost effective solution for integrating standing
settlement instructions into your back office
