Oracle's applications are used in MOD for Finance, through its Resource Management system, and for e-commerce through its DECS system.
Oracle HRMS and Payroll are deployed throughout the military and civilian pay and personnel programmes - JPA and PPPA respectively. Oracle has an Enterprise Agreement with MOD that provides an organisation-wide licence for the use of Oracle's technology and middleware products, together with special terms for the acquisition of Oracle applications and services. This Enterprise Agreement can be used by all MOD staff and by Defence contractors in support of MOD's business.
Oracle products are also widely used in other Defence Ministries around the world. For example, Oracle is #1 in Applications in the US Department of Defense, where Oracle HR is used in all four services (the US Air Force, the US Army, the US Navy and the Marine Corps), our Logistics applications are used in the US Army and the Marine Corps, and our Finance Applications in the US Air Force.
