e-Sourcing: The Strange Case of the Missing Savings
Over 80% of Global 1000 corporations have adopted e-sourcing, typically halving their sourcing cycles and cutting negotiated prices by 13-16%. But not all that glitters, it seems, is gold. Aberdeen Group has found that the typical company banks just 75-80% per cent of the price reductions it agrees online. The rest seems to vanish like a mirage. What's going on?
