Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper is a converged Web-SOA-telecom network service exposure and policy enforcement platform, which facilitates third-party service provider access to telecom service delivery platform (SDP) infrastructure in a controlled, secure, optimized, and automated manner. It also helps to protect and manage third-party partner access to an operator's core network resources, such as messaging, call control, location, and subscriber profile. As the service exposure platform component of the Oracle Communications Service Delivery product family, it is based on IT, Web and telecom industry standards such as Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE), Web services, Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS), and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Representational State Transfer (REST).

Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper establishes a secure and unified SDP entry point for third-party applications accessing an operator's network resources through policy-based, secure, and extensible application interfaces. This helps accelerate development of new communication applications by abstracting core network resources residing in wireless, wireline, or IP networks, and exposing them to the wider community of IT and Web application developers using industry-standard Web, SOA and telecom interfaces.
