San Francisco’s Summer of Sailing
This summer, San Francisco is hosting the most exciting events in sailing: the Louis Vuitton Cup challenger selection series and the America’s Cup finals. And the spectacular natural amphitheater of the San Francisco Bay will be the place where these battles take place.

The Louis Vuitton Cup is the selection series that determines who has the privilege of challenging the America’s Cup defender—ORACLE TEAM USA. Sailors from around the globe battle each other in a knockout series for the opportunity to compete for the America’s Cup.

The 34th America’s Cup brings the competition for the oldest trophy in international sport back to the United States for the first time in 18 years. And it does so in style, with fast and powerful new boats, a new format for racing, and in-person, television, and web coverage that will take viewers closer to the racing than ever before.
