Latest Release Brings Oracle EPM System to Linux and UNIX Platforms
With the latest release of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System, organizations can now run Oracle's EPM system—widely considered the industry leader—on UNIX and Linux platforms.

"With this release, organizations running on UNIX and Linux gain the same benefits of last July's Oracle EPM System Fusion Edition Release 11.1.1, which marked a major milestone in the integration of Hyperion products with the Oracle technology platform and applications," explains John O'Rourke, senior director, EPM product marketing.

Release 11.1.1.1 is already generally available from Oracle's E-Delivery download center.

Support for 64-Bit Platforms
With support for 64-bit platforms, Oracle EPM System Fusion Edition Release 11.1.1.1 enables customers to run on a single, more powerful server platform rather than multiple smaller servers.

In addition, 64-bit platforms can improve performance for resource-intensive tasks such as data loading and data consolidations, especially those that involve complex calculations.

Supported UNIX platforms include

  • AIX Power 64-bit, releases 5.2 ML7 through 6.1.x
  • HP-UX 11i Itanium releases 11.23 11.3x through 11.3x
  • Solaris SPARC releases 9 through 10
  • Red Hat Linux Server x86 32-bit and EM64T 64-bit releases 4.0.x through 5.0.x
  • Oracle Enterprise Linux x86 32-bit and EM64T 64-bit releases 4.0 through 5.0.x
Deep Integration
The latest release offers enhanced integration with Oracle Fusion Middleware and Oracle E-Business Suite, as well as integration of EPM Workspace, Smart Space, Smart View, and Oracle Essbase with the Oracle BI Foundation.

This deep integration enables common installation and lifecycle management services, which in turn minimizes total cost of ownership and speeds return on investment.

In addition, there is a new Hyperion Profitability and Cost Management application, an enhanced version of EPM Architect, a new administrative interface for Essbase called Essbase Studio, and new annotation and collaboration features in the Hyperion Reporting tools.
