COLLABORATE 08 to Highlight Oracle's BI/EPM Strategy
With four key road map presentations and nearly 100 individual sessions, Oracle's rapidly evolving business intelligence (BI)/EPM offerings—including the Hyperion acquisition—will form a key focus of COLLABORATE 08, the annual users conference in Denver, Colorado, April 13-17.
The conference, co-sponsored by the Independent Oracle Users Group (IOUG), Oracle Applications Users Group, and Quest International Users Group, is designed to provide attendees with best-practice insights and user-driven training—plus a chance to network with the greater Oracle community. This year there will be a Hyperion track with more than 80 sessions, in addition to other BI/EPM sessions.
BI Roadmap and Strategy
In one key session, Oracle's BI team will present the company's overall strategy and product road map for a comprehensive set of enterprise performance management (EPM) products, including a next-generation BI foundation, operational BI applications, and market-leading financial performance management applications from Oracle's Hyperion.
Another key session will focus specifically on the road map and strategy for Oracle's Hyperion Performance Management Applications, a modular suite of integrated applications that support the entire financial management process—from goal-setting, modeling, and planning to monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
And John Kopcke, senior vice president, Business Intelligence and Enterprise Performance Management, will deliver a keynote address to help put these innovations into larger business and technology context.
Extending Oracle BI with Hyperion Essbase-System 9
In another session, representatives from Oracle will discuss the advantages of adding Hyperion Essbase-System 9 to an existing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition deployment—including the ability to add new application types to an Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition deployment.
Oracle's Hyperion Essbase-System 9 is the industry-leading OLAP server, providing an environment for rapidly developing custom analytic and EPM applications.
