Attend the OBI SIG Mini-Conference Before OpenWorld

On the Sunday before this year’s Oracle OpenWorld, the Oracle Business Intelligence Special Interest Group (OBI SIG) will hold a forum, giving attendees a unique opportunity to expand their professional network and share best practices related to Oracle Business Intelligence solutions.

“Because OBI SIG sessions tend to be less formal and more interactive than OpenWorld sessions, they provide a one-of-a-kind chance to meet new people and expand personal and professional networks with peers who are actively engaged in the world of Oracle BI,” says Glenn Hoormann, chairman of the OBI SIG.

The meeting, which will take place in San Francisco’s Moscone Center on the afternoon of Sunday, October 11, is open to all OpenWorld attendees at no additional charge.

C2C Communications
This year’s program kicks off with an introduction to OBI SIG, including key players and the potential value to members. OBI SIG members will then offer a preview of key, BI-related OpenWorld activities, as well as general orientation to the upcoming conference.

Next, a representative from Oracle will provide an overview of Oracle BI direction and vision.

The heart of the forum will be a series of interactive, customer-to-customer panels led by Humana, Epcor, and Black & Decker. Representatives of each company will share their experience implementing and using Oracle BI solutions, including challenges, lessons learned, and value and efficiencies gained.

The meeting will conclude with the popular Ask the Experts panel. This year’s panel will consist of representatives from Humana, Epcor, and Black & Decker as well as Oracle and the OBI SIG board. Attendees can ask questions of any panel member, sparking lively and informative discussions.
