Attendance at Content Management Customer Event Surpasses Expectations

The concept was simple, but the results were extraordinary at Oracle's OpenWorld 2007 content management customer appreciation event.

While the convention gave customers an excellent opportunity to connect with Oracle, the content management dinner, held at the stylish Town Hall Restaurant in downtown San Francisco on Monday evening during OpenWorld, took this one step further.

By hooking up customers with Oracle experts, everyone had the chance to talk face-to-face about issues that affect them directly, such as product road maps and support, and ask questions about Oracle products. Customers in attendance were particularly interested to learn about the direction of Oracle’s content management product line after the Stellent acquisition.

"We had initially sent invitations to about 50 customers who confirmed they would attend. The final number turned out to be almost twice that many," said Kellsey Andries, product marketing manager for Oracle Content Management.

"This was in large part due to the fact that our customers extended the invitation to others and brought customer prospects with them. It demonstrated the high level of interest customers have in content management."
