OpenWorld Preview: Demos, Hands-On Labs, and Don’t-Miss Sessions

With nearly 70 scheduled sessions, this year’s Oracle OpenWorld conference is expected to provide unprecedented insight into Oracle’s content management, portal, and collaboration offerings.

The conference, set to take place October 11-15 in San Francisco’s Moscone Center, will also include more than 30 demos and hands-on labs. Attendees will be able to interact directly with live versions of Oracle products, including a range of key new features in Oracle WebCenter Suite 11g, Oracle Universal Content Management, and Oracle Beehive.

Four hands-on labs will focus on in-depth Enterprise 2.0 features, including the recently launched Oracle WebCenter Suite 11g. These hands-on labs include:

  • Oracle WebCenter Suite—Enterprise 2.0 at Your Fingertips
  • WebCenter Spaces
  • Seamlessly Integrate Enterprise 2.0 into WebCenter Interaction
  • Using Oracle Universal Content Management with Oracle WebLogic Portal
Don’t-Miss Sessions
Besides the hands-on labs, some of the most anticipated sessions include:
  • Oracle WebCenter Suite 11g: Strategy and Vision for Enterprise Portals. Learn how IT and your business users can work together to create and evolve more effective enterprise portals, Web sites, and social networks.
  • Back-End Your Oracle WebLogic Portal with Oracle Universal Content Management. Hear how the service-oriented architecture of Universal Content Management makes it easy to integrate content into the portal, while enabling in-context editing anywhere in the portal.
