Globalization Strategies for CFOs at Oracle OpenWorld's CFO Summit

"Capitalizing on Globalization: CFO Strategies for Winning in a Flat World"
November 13, 2007
San Francisco, California

Infosys

The Oracle CFO Summit series for CFOs and their direct reports showcases finance best practices and technologies used by world-class CFOs to drive sustainable, profitable growth in a changing global economy.

This year, Oracle partners with Infosys to bring together globalization experts and leading CFOs from organizations around the globe, including Agilent, HSBC, JSC Severstal, and CSAV, to discuss the role that finance can play in helping organizations increase their competitive advantage in a world increasingly flattened by outsourcing, technology, and new competition from emerging market leaders.

Featured speakers at this year's Oracle CFO Summit include

  • Infosys CEO Kris Gopalakrishan. This year's Oracle CFO Summit sponsor, Infosys, is a leader in flat world thinking and an inspiration for Thomas Friedman's book The World Is Flat. Gopalakrishnan will offer his unique perspective on how the business world is becoming flatter and how CFOs can leverage these opportunities to achieve stronger financial performance.

  • The Hackett Group CEO Wayne Mincey. The Hackett Group is the leader in financial performance benchmarking. Mincey will share global finance best practices from the soon-to-be published 2007 Book of Numbers on how world-class CFOs are capitalizing on globalization to lower costs, reduce complexity, and increase strategic alignment with performance and talent management.

  • Boston Consulting Group SVP Hal Sirkin. Sirkin, a globalization expert, has produced research on globalization that has been featured on the cover of BusinessWeek and in Fortune. At the Oracle CFO Summit, he will unveil yet-to-be published research on the strategies CFOs can adopt to meet the challenges of emerging market leaders in China, India, Russia, and Latin America.

  • Ask the experts panel. Hackett CEO Wayne Mincey interviews senior Oracle executives Thomas Kurian, Chris Leone, and Tibor Beles on how new Oracle products and services can help support successful globalization strategies.
