New Enterprise GRC Manager - Fusion Edition Streamlines Processes and Supports Greater Risk Management
The release of Oracle Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager Fusion Edition, expected this fall, is planned to improve GRC activities in three main areas:
- Unified management of GRC programs
The common GRC foundation in the new release is expected to address a long-standing challenge. GRC work is typically performed by different operating teams that manage separate requirements. With a consolidated view—and consolidated management—of compliance, risk, and internal controls, organizations can reduce overlapping policies and streamline the GRC process for better overall insight, efficiency, and cost savings.
- More granular risk analysis
To help managers make better decisions, Enterprise GRC Manager’s risk management framework is designed to facilitate more detailed risk modeling, analysis, and treatment. The new framework goes beyond the traditional risk likelihood and impact rating and takes context into account, says Stephanie Maziol, product marketing director for Oracle GRC applications. “Its flexible qualitative and quantitative analysis models are expected to allow managers to score risk against context-specific criteria. At the same time, Enterprise GRC Manager can normalize scores so that risks are understood from the perspective of the enterprise.”
- Complete, open, and integrated solutions
The underlying Fusion Middleware 11g technology provides the foundation for an end-to-end GRC solution. It also offers an open standards platform that makes it easy for partners to build components addressing specific industry and regulatory requirements. According to Maziol, Fusion technology supports integration of Enterprise GRC Manager with Oracle ERP, such as Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle’s PeopleSoft Enterprise, as well as business applications from SAP and others.
