World Banking Leaders to Meet to Discuss the Future of Financial Services

In what organizers call one of the key financial-services meetings of the coming year, the world's most-respected thought leaders in banking will gather in Athens, Greece, to discuss the compound challenges of regulatory compliance, complex global operations, and ever-rising demands for better customer service.

Beginning May 7, the three-day event will include senior executives from financial services companies across the globe including Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.

During one of the industry's most volatile markets, global banking leaders will conduct panel discussions on creating successful customer-centric enterprises; becoming more responsive to market needs; and building frameworks for successful compliance, risk, and performance.

Other sessions will cover next-generation digital economies, the outlook for banking in 2008 and 2009, and strategies for increasing innovation in emerging markets.

Keynote speakers include Jost Hoppermann, vice president with Forrester Research, European Financial. Journalist Robyn Meredith will discuss her book The Elephant and the Dragon: The Rise of India and China and What It Means for All of Us.

In addition, Oracle, i-flex solutions, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and everis will discuss the latest trends in technology for financial applications.
