Application Management Goes Top-Down

Oracle recently announced plug-ins and connectors for Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g that will extend new management capabilities across systems from Oracle, BMC Software, Dell, IBM, SAP, and open source solutions.

The new plug-ins and connectors play an integral role in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g's top-down approach to application management by allowing it to provide a single, integrated management solution for today's highly diverse and heterogeneous data centers.

Among the twenty-four plug-ins, connectors, and integrations delivered in the last year are plug-ins for BMC Remedy Service Desk, IBM WebSphere MQ, and tighter integration with Dell for enhanced server monitoring. In addition, Oracle announced a joint agreement to develop the NimBUS SAP R/3 plug-in to provide Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g customers the ability to monitor and manage mission-critical SAP R/3 applications.

Learn how you can combine broad heterogeneous support in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Release 3 with Oracle SOA Suite to build and manage service-oriented applications in your IT environment.
