Oracle’s New Workforce Communication Solution Helps HR Weather Today’s Economic Challenges
HR departments searching for new ways to differentiate their organization in order to attract and retain talent during tough economic times now have additional help with the just released version of Oracle PeopleSoft Workforce Communications.
This new solution for planning and deploying HR campaigns is designed to help HR departments better align the workforce with organizational goals. “Organizations can gain an understanding of workforce preferences and satisfaction so they can take the necessary actions to improve workforce engagement and increase organizational loyalty,” says Tracy Martin, Oracle’s senior director of human capital management product strategy.
With Workforce Communications, HR organizations can reduce the costs of programs and benefits, increase adherence to policies to reduce risk and improve financial outcomes, and better engage the workforce to increase productivity, she adds.
To do this, Workforce Communications helps organizations increase the effectiveness of HR campaigns through targeted messages communicated through a variety of channels, such as intranets, e-mail, newsletters, and surveys. “By providing a global tool for administering these initiatives, organizations are able to assess and quantify their HR initiatives based on the outcome and identify potential cost savings attributed to the initiative,” Martin says.
For example, electronic surveys launched with Workforce Communications can target specific departments and workgroups for feedback about job satisfaction, benefits preferences, and other key HCM components. The surveys then will automatically generate follow-up actions for HR professionals based on the specific responses of each survey participant.
“The trends identified among various demographics can be used to improve the workplace and retain employees,” Martin explains. “These trends can also be used to determine the scope of future HR campaigns, as well as suggest other talent-related actions that may be taken by the organization.”
