HR Analytics Probe Deeper into Workforce Intelligence
While the just-released Oracle E-Business Suite HCM 12.1 offers new dashboards for streamlining talent management activities, new analysis tools planned for Oracle HR Analytics 7.9.6, due out in 2009, mean HR managers can better understand their own department’s performance in recruiting, learning management, and leave and absence oversight.
The new release of HR Analytics will have tighter integration with the Oracle E-Business Suite HCM application. Enhanced features will be available for staffing trend analyses, retention hotspots, and employee performance. Five new dashboards, more than 600 dimensional attributes, and more than 200 metrics will be added to the release.
Recruiting analytics dashboards monitor vacancy trends and the recruitment pipeline within the organization. In addition, the analytics also measure new-hire quality and the performance of individual recruiters. “Together, these and related recruitment-analysis tools aid HR departments in evaluating onboarding processes and identifying process bottlenecks in these activities,” says Ling Xiang, Oracle principal product manager, HR analytics.
Newly added learning management dashboards show which courses consistently experience the longest wait times. “With these tools, learning and line managers can better assess workforce learning participation rates and class results,” Xiang says.
The third set of new analytic dashboards—for leave and absence management—tracks absence trends to help departments monitor workdays lost to scheduled and unscheduled absences. “Organizations can monitor absence as a predictor of employee engagement with the organization, as well as to develop forecasts of employee availability based on planned future absence events,” Xiang explains.
