Oracle OpenWorld 2009 Targets Supply Chain Challenges and Opportunities

A special two-part "Super Session" devoted to the latest technical innovations and best practices for successful supply chain management will kick off on Monday an extensive lineup of lean supply presentations at this year’s Oracle OpenWorld conference, slated for October 11-15 in San Francisco.

In the first part of the SCM Super Session, "Supply Chain Overview Session I: Vision, Strategy, and Future Directions," leading experts from the supply chain industry will discuss how best-in-class companies are employing supply chain efficiencies to address today’s biggest business challenges and achieve market-leading performance in their respective industries. The presentation also highlights Oracle's latest SCM solutions and discusses supply chain management strategies for succeeding in a complex, global business marketplace.

The second part of the SCM Super Session, "Supply Chain Management Overview Session II: Executive Customer and Oracle Panel," will present an expert panel of executives from innovative companies that have transformed their supply chains to meet twenty-first century requirements. The executives will explore how supply chain management can help meet critical business imperatives, such as reducing costs, mitigating risk, extending supply relationships around the world, and promoting business growth.
